Kühne+Nagel has opened a new logistics center for pharmaceutical and healthcare products at Frankfurt Airport. The facility comprises 3,505 square meters and is specifically designed for temperature-sensitive cargo. The location is intended to integrate warehousing, handling, and international air freight more closely together. For pharmaceuticals, this is critical because many products must be transported only within narrow temperature ranges. Kühne+Nagel is thereby further expanding its global HealthChain network. According to the company, it operates more than 270 appropriately certified locations worldwide. Frankfurt plays an important role in this strategy. The airport is one of Europe's major air freight hubs and offers numerous long-haul connections.
