Passar Before Productive Start
The BAZG provided important updates on the DaziT program during the first accompanying group meeting in 2026. Passar Export has been fully transitioned, while Import is set to begin soon with pilot runs. The digitization process continues seamlessly even after the program ends in late 2026.
A central innovation is the web application Certification for digital goods transport certificates EUR.1. It is directly linked with Passar Export and makes trips to the counters unnecessary. The pilot has been running since mid-March, with approval to follow after successful testing.
Passar Export Fully Operational
The transition from e-dec to Passar Export went smoothly at the end of February. Three options are available: Passar Standard, e-dec Web until replacement, or service provider. Transitional regulations will end in late May 2026, and exception requests will no longer be approved.
Automated checks for regulated goods are new. Obstacles such as SECO approvals or CITES data must be accurately recorded, or delays may occur. Approximately 70,000 export shipments per month are still awaiting automated activation via the Activ App.
Passar Import in the Pilot Phase
Pilot runs for Passar Import will start at axes such as Basel Weil and Chiasso. Registration in the ePortal with GP roles and Activ App usage is required. Approval then applies to all economic participants at a border crossing.
Process differences from e-dec are clear: only two selection results, direct digital assessment decision, and one document for customs plus VAT. The debtor status with traffic light system is added, risk-based securities replace ZAZ accounts.
