In logistics, the transport planning procedure refers to the systematic approach for planning, controlling and monitoring transport orders. It includes demand analysis, route and network planning, selection and scheduling of carriers, as well as supervision and optimization of execution, taking into account costs, transit times, capacities and quality requirements.
