In logistics and supply chain management, risk tolerance is the maximum level of risk an organization is willing to accept in order to achieve objectives. It accounts for uncertainties in the supply chain, costs, delivery performance, and quality requirements, and informs risk management decisions, investments, inventory strategies, and safety stock levels.
