Non-invasive cargo screening technologies are inspection methods for freight shipments (e.g. containers, truck loads, pallets) that allow examination without physically opening or unpacking the cargo. They employ imaging or sensing techniques such as X-ray, gamma-ray, neutron scanning, terahertz, infrared or radar to detect threats, smuggled goods or quality deviations.
