Storage costs are all expenses incurred in storing goods. They include capital costs (interest on tied-up capital), space costs (rent or depreciation of warehousing facilities), personnel costs, insurance costs, inventory and administrative costs, as well as losses from spoilage, shrinkage and depreciation.
