A border terminal rejection is the refusal to process or clear goods or vehicles at a border terminal by border authorities or the terminal operator, typically due to missing or incorrect customs paperwork, non-compliance with import/export regulations, safety or health requirements, or suspicion of illicit origin. The result is delay, return, or transfer of the shipment.
