In logistics and supply chain context, quality improvement refers to systematic actions and processes aimed at increasing the quality, reliability, accuracy and performance of operations (e.g., inbound receiving, warehousing, order picking, transportation) to reduce defects, waste and complaints and improve customer satisfaction.
