Public investment refers to government spending on infrastructure, logistics and transport facilities (e.g., roads, bridges, ports, airports, logistics centers) and related modernization projects that improve the long-term capacity and efficiency of the transport and supply chain infrastructure. Financing typically comes from the public budget or through public borrowing.
