Combined Transport Safety Standards are regulatory requirements and measures designed to ensure the safe handling, carriage and transfer of goods in multimodal transport operations, where goods are transported by at least two different modes of transport in a continuous journey. They cover technical specifications for equipment and vehicles, as well as procedures for loading, securing, unloading and documentation.
