The term describes cargo that cannot be safely placed on top of other freight due to its shape, weight, fragility, or structural instability—including oversized machinery, large furniture, sensitive electronics, artworks, and perishables in delicate packaging. In warehousing and transport operations, non-stackable goods require dedicated floor space, appropriate handling equipment, and custom packaging, all of which increase costs and reduce loading efficiency.
