Multimodal freight network expansion projects are infrastructure and investment initiatives aimed at increasing the capacity, efficiency, and connectivity of goods transportation systems by integrating multiple transport modes (road, rail, maritime, inland waterways, air) into cohesive networks. They include the development of terminals, corridors, track infrastructure, as well as digital and logistical interfaces to optimize cargo handling and routing.
