An Incoterms risk matrix is a tool that systematically identifies, evaluates, and allocates Incoterms-related risks between the seller and the buyer. It illustrates when and how risks, costs, and responsibilities for transport, insurance, shipping, import/export formalities, and the transfer of risk are allocated between the parties according to the chosen Incoterms rule.
