The maximum permissible vertical dimension of the cargo or vehicle load, measured from the reference point (e.g., rail head level in railway freight transport or road surface level in road transport) to the highest point of the load or vehicle, which must not be exceeded under transport conditions to comply with clearance profiles or vehicle height limits.
