Interruption of transit is the temporary stoppage or delay of the carriage of goods while in transit from the shipper to the consignee, preventing timely completion of the planned shipment. Causes include customs or border checks, carrier delays, security inspections, congestion, seizure, or other obstacles that disrupt the transport process.
