Through-Container Inspections

Through-Container Inspections are examination procedures in which cargo containers are inspected by imaging or other non-intrusive technologies (e.g., X-ray or gamma-ray scanning) without unloading the container. The purpose is to ensure security and detect contraband, hazardous materials, and transport damage.
