A conceptual practice in which the buyer exercises control over the allocation of responsibilities, risks, costs, and contractual obligations under the Incoterms in an international trade transaction. The buyer determines how shipping, insurance, freight, unloading, customs clearance, and documentation are handled in accordance with the chosen Incoterms.
