Milk Run System Design in Manufacturing Logistics
Quelle: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Milk_run_(logistics)
A milk run system is a scheduled, predefined transport circuit in which a vehicle visits multiple suppliers or production sites in a loop to collect materials in small lot sizes and deliver them just-in-time to the assembly or production line. Its objective is to minimize inventory levels, transportation costs, and lead times through optimized route planning and fixed tour cycles.
