Dew point monitoring measures the temperature at which water vapour in air begins to condense—a critical parameter in refrigerated cargo transport. Freight forwarders and vessel operators use continuous sensors in reefer containers and cold-storage ships to prevent condensation and moisture damage to perishables (fruit, fish, meat, flowers). When the dew point margin (difference between air temperature and dew point) drops below 2–3 °C, the risk of condensation increases significantly. Monitoring is conducted via digital data loggers or vehicle-integrated telemetry systems, often coupled with automated ventilation or dehumidification equipment.
