CPT Transit Risk refers to the risk borne by the buyer during the carriage of goods under the Incoterms rule CPT, particularly the risk of damage, loss, or other perils occurring to the goods en route. Under CPT, the risk of loss or damage passes from seller to buyer when the goods are delivered to the first carrier, while the seller bears costs only to the named place of destination.
