Ad hoc Charter

An ad hoc charter is a contract to hire a vessel or aircraft for a specific, one-off transportation need outside regular scheduled services. Terms are negotiated between the shipper/buyer and the owner/operator to move cargo or passengers for a particular, non-recurring purpose, typically at higher cost but with greater flexibility.
