A storage facility or area in a logistics operation used to isolate batteries that are suspected, damaged, defective, or non-compliant, in order to prevent fire or safety risks during handling, transport, or further processing. Quarantine is performed in accordance with safety and regulatory requirements until safe release or disposal can be arranged.
