A Trade Compliance Audit is a systematic review of a company’s import and export activities to ensure adherence to applicable laws and regulations (customs, sanctions, export controls, licenses, preferential trade, labeling, documentation). It assesses policies, procedures, record-keeping, training, internal controls, and risk areas; identifies non-compliance, deficiencies, and remediation plans; and evaluates the effectiveness of the compliance program.
