Advance Cargo Information (ACI) refers to the mandatory electronic submission of detailed cargo data (e.g. nature of goods, weight, consignor, consignee) to customs or security authorities prior to shipment arrival or departure, enabling risk assessment and ensuring secure and efficient border controls.
