Adjudication in freight disputes is a formal dispute-resolution process in which an impartial third party (the adjudicator) reviews the claims and evidence presented by parties involved in the transport of goods and issues a binding or provisionally binding decision to resolve issues such as freight rates, delivery schedules, cargo damage or loss, and contractual obligations.
