Brittany Ferries opera da Poole Harbour un servizio merci roll-on/roll-off giornaliero verso Cherbourg, con la MV Barfleur dal marzo 2026 dopo che la MV Commodore Clipper aveva coperto la traversata nell'inverno 2025/26. Nel 2026 Brittany Ferries ha inoltre lanciato un servizio ferro-traghetto che collega Bayonne (Francia sud-occidentale) a Poole tramite un tratto ferroviario fino a Cherbourg, ampliando notevolmente il bacino di catchment del porto per le merci. Lo scalo naturale riparato sulla Manica movimenta rimorchi accompagnati e non, oltre a merci varie e rinfuse come sabbia, acciaio e fertilizzanti.
