Più che uno scalo merci, Eyemouth è il porto peschereccio più meridionale della costa orientale scozzese. Una flotta di circa 26 imbarcazioni, dalle piccole barche da nasse ai pescherecci a strascico, vi sbarca pesce bianco e crostacei, grazie a un accesso senza chiuse 24 ore su 24 a un ormeggio in acque profonde. Realizzato nel 1770 alla foce dell'Eye, il porto serve pesca, diporto e qualche unità commerciale, ma non offre linee container, RoRo o sdoganamento commerciale regolare. Un masterplan prevede una nuova struttura in acque profonde per eolico offshore, crociere e merci, ancora allo stadio progettuale. Per merci varie o containerizzate gli spedizionieri useranno Leith, Grangemouth o Blyth.
