Entre une jetée de transbordeur à l'est et une jetée de pêcheurs à l'ouest, le village de Whitehall, sur l'île orcadienne de Stronsay, vit aujourd'hui au rythme d'une liaison Ro-Ro vers Kirkwall assurée par Orkney Ferries et d'un petit port de pêche. Au plus fort du hareng, dans les années 1920 et 1930, c'était le premier port de pêche de l'archipel; on n'y trouve désormais guère que des caseyeurs ciblant homards et crabes. Aucune manutention commerciale de conteneurs, de marchandises diverses ou de dédouanement n'y est attestée. Pour le fret maritime des Orcades, Kirkwall et le terminal voisin de Hatston sont les points d'accès pertinents.
