Foyle Port exploite l'ensemble des installations de Londonderry, un port résolument tourné vers le vrac et non vers le conteneur. L'acheminement vers l'arrière-pays repose presque entièrement sur la route, faute de fret ferroviaire régulier. Pour des conteneurs, les transitaires se tournent vers Belfast ou Dublin, ports à conteneurs les plus proches.
