Viterra and, since 2021, T-Ports run the two grain terminals that define Wallaroo, an export point on the eastern shore of Spencer Gulf in South Australia. This is a dedicated dry-bulk operation: a land-based storage complex feeds a jetty shipping berth by conveyor, loading wheat, barley, canola, faba beans and lentils grown across the Yorke Peninsula and Mid North. Bulk carriers of up to about 230 m length and 32 m beam call here, working against a berth depth near 9.4 m. Wallaroo handles no containers, breakbulk liner cargo or international customs clearance, so shippers should not treat it as a multipurpose gateway. Road links reach the hinterland, with Adelaide roughly 160 km away. For boxes and general cargo use Port Adelaide's Outer Harbor; for additional grain capacity, Port Giles and Port Lincoln are the regional alternatives.
