Steelmaker Acindar gives Villa Constitución much of its industrial weight: at river kilometre 364/365 on the Paraná, the company discharges iron ore at one berth and ships finished steel from another that takes vessels up to 199.5 metres long. The wider port, on the river's south-western bank below Rosario, runs four terminals covering grain and by-products, other dry bulk, steel and small craft.
