The UN/LOCODE NG UKP marks not a harbour but an offshore crude-oil loading point about 15 nautical miles north-west of the Escravos Terminal in the Gulf of Guinea. The facility centred on the converted FPSO 'Trinity Spirit' (around 275,000 dwt), which produced from the OML 108 field and loaded export tankers of up to roughly 150,000 dwt. There is no container, breakbulk or RoRo handling and no shore-side customs here — this is floating petroleum infrastructure with no quay. Output had already fallen to zero in 2020–2021, and the FPSO was destroyed by fire and explosion in February 2022, leaving the terminal effectively out of service. For project cargo, containers or general freight to Nigeria, the ports of Onne, Warri, Port Harcourt or Lagos (Apapa/Tin Can) are the appropriate choice.
