Sawn timber and pulp once moved across the quay at Stocka, shipped out into the Gulf of Bothnia by a sawmill that ran from the 1850s until 1993. With the mill long closed, this small harbour in Nordanstig municipality now functions chiefly as a guest and leisure marina of roughly 20 berths and 1.7–4 m depth. For freight forwarders its commercial relevance is limited, as container handling, customs clearance and general-cargo transfer are not established here. Shipments out of northern Hälsingland are better routed through the commercial ports of Hudiksvall or Gävle to the south.
