Phosphates and potash inbound, fertilisers and ores outbound: Sibenik earns its keep as a bulk and general-cargo harbour set deep in a sheltered inlet at the mouth of Croatia's Krka River. Its import bulk terminal at berths 21/22 offers around 1 million tonnes of annual capacity, served by a Siwertell ship unloader and a cement elevator. The export terminal on the Rogač quay ships fertilisers, bulk ores, timber and clay, while RoRo, passenger and a growing cruise business round out traffic. The port has no scheduled container service of its own. Hinterland connections run by road toward inland Croatia and Bosnia and by the rail link to Knin.
