Three quays — a 90-metre pontoon from 1979, a 70-metre western berth from 2003 and a 105-metre eastern berth added in 2013 — define the working waterfront at Shengjin on Albania's northern Adriatic coast. The port accommodates fishing fleets, general and bulk cargo, forestry products and occasional passenger ferries, with vessels up to roughly 120 metres and 5,000 tonnes. Container handling is minimal, so containerised consignments and full customs clearance are better routed through Durrës, Albania's principal box port some 70 km south, or Bar in Montenegro. Hinterland links rely on the coastal road toward Lezhë and onward to Tirana. For forwarders, Shengjin suits regional break-bulk and project pieces rather than scheduled liner cargo.
