Sandarne lies around 10 kilometres north of Söderhamn on the Swedish Baltic coast (Hälsingland) and is a classic industrial port serving a dedicated works facility. No general cargo or container handling takes place; the port is exclusively oriented towards industrial raw material and product movements for the pulp and paper sector. For larger bulk volumes or break-bulk, the port of Söderhamn is the regional alternative.
