Agricultural bulk, project cargo and residual materials such as fly ash move across Rothesay Dock, the northernmost freight berth on Scotland's River Clyde at Clydebank. Opened in 1907 for the coal, iron and steel trades, it is today operated by Clydebank Port Services and equipped for dry bulk and general cargo, with a roughly 3,000 m² bulk warehouse and about four acres of quayside storage. Container traffic is not handled here, and a berth depth of around 4.9 m limits calls to smaller coastal and inland vessels. The dock sits within Clydeport's Glasgow operations under Peel Ports. Its Greater Glasgow hinterland is well served by road and the Scottish rail network. For containers, forwarders turn to the nearby Greenock Container Terminal, and to Glasgow's King George V Dock for further bulk.
