In the Blekinge region of southern Sweden, Ronneby (UN/LOCODE SE RNB) was a working cargo harbour from the Middle Ages onward, once shipping out the enamelware of the Kockum factory. Today the small river port has effectively no commercial shipping role and serves mainly leisure and heritage uses. Depths are shallow at around 5 metres, with no scheduled liner or container traffic. Commercial consignments in Blekinge are best handled at Karlshamn or nearby Karlskrona, which offers RoRo services including to Gdynia.
