Four loading dolphins, a Bunge-run grain terminal and a riverside oil berth define Ramallo, an agro-export river port on the right bank of the Paraná roughly 270 km above Buenos Aires. It forms part of Argentina's Up-River corridor, the country's main outlet for soybean and grain shipments. Terminal Ramallo offers around 325,000 t of grain storage plus 120,000 t for fertiliser, while a separate Xstorage liquid-bulk facility and the local agricultural cooperative's elevator round out the wharf. Cargo is overwhelmingly dry bulk and bulk liquids — maize, soybean meal, wheat and pellets loaded at roughly 1,000 t per hour per gang — with no container handling. Road and rail link the berths to the farming hinterland of Buenos Aires and Santa Fe provinces. Shippers needing containers, breakbulk or heavier customs infrastructure should look to San Nicolás, the Rosario/San Lorenzo Up-River cluster or the Port of Buenos Aires.
