# Puerto Nacional (ARPNL)

**UN/LOCODE:** ARPNL
**Country:** Argentina
**Water Body:** South Atlantic Ocean
**Harbor Size:** Very Small
**Harbor Type:** Coastal (Natural)
**GPS:** -38.8000, -62.2833

Despite sitting within Argentina's premier grain-export complex, Puerto Nacional is one of its minor, historic berths rather than a working bulk terminal in its own right. It lies beside Ingeniero White in the Bahía Blanca estuary — locally dubbed the "city of seven ports" — but its shallow depth of about 6 m keeps modern grain and bulk carriers away. The decisive volumes of cereals, by-products, fertiliser and fuel move through the deep terminals at Ingeniero White and Puerto Galván, which offer silo capacity near 200,000 t and drafts up to 45 feet. Forwarders routing cargo through Bahía Blanca should therefore address those neighbouring terminals.
