# Port San Juan

**Country:** Canada
**Water Body:** Alaska-Canada coastal waters; North Pacific Ocean

**Harbor Type:** Coastal (Natural)
**GPS:** 48.5500, -124.4333

The inlet of Port San Juan cuts into the rugged west coast of Vancouver Island, forming the bay at Port Renfrew, British Columbia. Logging and fishing sustained the community for decades, but once major logging operations moved away around 1990 the bay lost its commercial cargo role. Today only a public dock with limited moorage remains, with no container, breakbulk or customs handling on site. Forwarders moving sea freight to southern Vancouver Island rely on the ports of Victoria and Vancouver.
