Nine warehouses and two 63-metre cement silos — together holding some 35,000 tonnes of clinker — define the cargo footprint of the port logged under BR AJU, operated as the Terminal Marítimo Inácio Barbosa (TMIB) at Barra dos Coqueiros in Sergipe. The multipurpose terminal handles solid and liquid bulk plus grain, and supports offshore oil-and-gas platforms, fitting the nearby Petrobras Carmópolis field that lends the port its alternative name. Container handling is only emerging: a yard for about 400 TEU recently opened and can be expanded. A shallow approach channel of roughly 4 metres caps vessel size. VLI Multimodal has managed the terminal since 2014. For regular or larger container volumes, Salvador/Aratu (Bahia) or Suape (Pernambuco) remain the established alternatives.
