Petchburi Terminal is not a conventional harbour at all but an offshore petroleum facility in the northwestern Gulf of Thailand. Its infrastructure is a sea-island jetty about 6.5 km offshore plus a single-point mooring some 20 km out, both fed by submarine pipelines to onshore tank farms. The products handled are liquids only — naphtha, gasoline, jet fuel, condensate, crude, fuel oil and feedstocks — with the sea island taking tankers up to roughly 30,000 dwt and the mooring up to 18.4 m draught. No containers, breakbulk or Ro-Ro move through the site; it serves tanker traffic exclusively, under Petchburi Terminal Company. Customs and general-cargo needs fall outside its scope. For box traffic in the Gulf, Laem Chabang is the relevant gateway.
