Estonia's principal RoRo gateway, Paldiski South Harbour, passed a real-world test in March 2026 when Esteve's CL Equality became the first vessel to berth at its new 310-metre quay. Operated by the Port of Tallinn as its second cargo harbour, the terminal lies about 45 km west of the capital and handles mainly Estonian import, export and transit cargo — RoRo units, scrap metal, timber, peat and oil products. The new quay, with a 13.5-metre draft and 10 hectares of hinterland, was built under an EU-co-financed project running 2022-2026 with a total budget of EUR 62.3 million. Regular RoRo services link the port to Western European and Scandinavian destinations, and group-wide new-car transshipment capacity reaches up to 300,000 units a year. Annual cargo volume runs around 850,000 tonnes, with berths taking vessels up to 249 metres at drafts to 15.5 metres. Puma Energy Baltics handles petroleum products and Baltic Oil Service vegetable oils. For dedicated container handling, nearby Muuga — the group's largest port — remains the natural alternative.
