Operated by the Port of Tallinn, Paldiski South Harbour (Lõunasadam) is Estonia's principal RoRo gateway, some 45 km west of the capital. Its core business is Estonian import, export and transit cargo, with regular RoRo services linking Western European and Scandinavian ports; group-wide car-transshipment capacity reaches up to 300,000 units a year. Main flows include RoRo units, scrap metal, timber, peat and oil products, alongside general and bulk cargo. Petroleum products are handled by Puma Energy Baltics and vegetable oils by Baltic Oil Service. The harbour moves around 850,000 tonnes a year and accepts vessels up to 249 metres, with depths to 15.5 metres. In early 2026 a new 310-metre quay with 13.5-metre depth and 10 hectares of hinterland entered service — its first call delivered wind-turbine components from Vietnam, underlining growing project- and heavy-lift capability. Road and rail connect the Estonian hinterland; for dedicated container handling, nearby Muuga Harbour — the group's largest port — is the natural alternative.
