Mussels and fresh fish are the daily business of Nykøbing Mors, a Limfjord port on the Danish island of Mors. Built in 1788 as the first harbour in the western Limfjord, it today combines a commercial quay with a marina, handling shellfish vessels, fishing boats and smaller coasters from Denmark and abroad. There is no container or international liner service, and the shallow quay depth of about 3.4 m restricts calls to small tonnage. Road and rail links across the Limfjord bridges connect the port to the Danish hinterland. For containers, bulk or larger breakbulk consignments, forwarders rely on Aalborg, the region's main port, or on nearby Thisted and Skive.
