Steel coils, natural rubber, coffee, plywood and oversized project cargo move across the docks of New Orleans, the multipurpose gateway on the lower Mississippi River (UN/LOCODE US MSY). Breakbulk and project cargo are the port's core strength, supported by recently rehabilitated terminals along the inner harbour and both banks of the river.
