# Nash Harbor

**Country:** United States
**Water Body:** Bering Sea; North Pacific Ocean
**Harbor Size:** Very Small
**Harbor Type:** Open Roadstead
**GPS:** 60.2000, -166.9833

On the northern shore of Nunivak Island, in the Bering Sea, Nash Harbor is today an empty bay used only seasonally for subsistence hunting and a summer science camp. Once a Yupik village, it was effectively abandoned by 1959 after disease and the relocation of its schoolchildren, and it has no commercial port or cargo function. For freight purposes the site is not relevant: the nearest regular call is the village of Mekoryuk about 56 km east, while larger volumes move through Bethel or via Dutch Harbor/Unalaska.
