More than two million barrels of crude and refined products leave Mina Al Ahmadi each day, making it Kuwait's principal oil export terminal on the Persian Gulf. The facility handles roughly 40 million tonnes and around 1,450 vessels a year across twelve offshore berths and single-point moorings able to take the largest crude carriers, including VLCCs. Pier infrastructure is run by Kuwait National Petroleum Company, while Kuwait Oil Company manages marine operations, pilots and tugs. The co-located Mina Al Ahmadi GasPort was the Gulf's first regasification terminal, with capacity near 10,300 tonnes of LNG per day, and an adjacent refinery with a capacity of about 346,000 barrels a day processes the crude on site. This is a dedicated energy port: it does not handle containers, breakbulk or roll-on/roll-off traffic. Shippers with boxed or general cargo should route through Shuaiba or Shuwaikh instead.
