Its main pier offers four alongside berths for crude, fuel and gas oils, kerosene, propane and butane, backed by a small T-jetty for coasters — liquid and gas bulk only, never containers. Fairway depths around 21.6 m allow the largest berth to take tankers of about 370 m and some 385,000 dwt, into the VLCC class. The terminal forms part of the Augusta–Priolo industrial zone, Italy's biggest refining complex, tied by pipeline to the surrounding petrochemical plants. Container, reefer and ro-ro traffic are handled elsewhere.
