Masset, on Graham Island in Haida Gwaii, is supplied by barge rather than by container liners: North Arm Transportation runs the government wharf with fuel and general-cargo barges for the archipelago's remote communities. Masset Inlet and Masset Sound also see one of the world's largest log barges, the self-dumping Seaspan Survivor, which moves up to 15,000 tonnes of timber per trip. There is no international or customs-cleared container handling here; the harbour serves fishing, community resupply and resource transport. For deep-sea or containerised freight, mainland Prince Rupert is the nearest commercial port.
